So we have seen that glacial landforms depend on glacial processes, and that those processes depend on the characteristics of the environment. We only get glacial landforms in areas that have experienced glacial climates!
We have also seen that we can work out what ancient glaciers used to be like by looking at the landforms they leave behind. Features as diverse as huge moraines, tiny glacial striations, and even the amounts of clay in glacial sediments can tell us about the glaciers that created them.
