The aim of this book is to provide a straightforward quick introduction to glaciers and glacial landscapes for people who have very little background knowledge in the subject. The book is pitched very much at an introductory level.
This book is largely based on a previous book that I published with the Geographical Association in 2005, called “Glaciers and Glacial Landscapes”. That book was very well received, so when it went out of print and the copyright and publishing rights reverted to me it seemed a shame not to make the material available in a new form for anybody who wanted to use it. Hence this book!
