Academic Promotions

Over the years, as I have gradually amassed letters after my name and taken on ever more obscure academic titles, I have increasingly been asked for advice about putting together promotions applications, award submissions, etc. I'm not sure that I have any particularly useful advice to offer, but if people find my own experiences useful then I'm pleased to help. In that vein, I am posting here extracts from my applications for assorted promtions and prizes, just in case anybody finds it useful to look at them as they put together their own documentation for similar types of applications.
