Number 10: The skin of the Earth has no name

Me han hablado de Venezuelas,
de Paraguays y de Chiles,
no sé de lo que están hablando:
conozco la piel de la tierra
y sé que no tiene apellido.

Pablo Neruda, from "Too many names"

They have spoken to me of Venezuelas,
of Paraguays and of Chiles;
I do not know what they are saying.
I know only the skin of the Earth
and I know that it has no name.

Neruda

By happy coincidence, if you like that sort of thing, in 1955 Austin Miller published a splendid little Physical Geography textbook called "The Skin of the Earth" and I use extracts from both Miller's book and Neruda's poem in my Geography teaching! It's a small and well-connected world.
